Why did you decide to study abroad?
I didn’t really know what to do with my life and decided that this was a perfect opportunity to go abroad. Plus, I had always wanted to study abroad.

What classes did you take and how did they apply to your degree?
I took Renaissance Rome and its Monuments (art history), Digital Photography, Wine and Culture of Drinking in Italy, and Macroeconomics, which ended up going towards 300+ classes for my major. I took Italian 201-202, which counted for my Foreign Language Requirement.

What is your favorite memory from abroad?
I think my favorite would be when I was in Venice, sitting in one of the waterbusses, completely by myself. I had never felt so independent and free in my entire life. Venice is one of my favorite cities in the world!

What is some advice you would give to students doing a similar program?
Make friends with the locals, especially the shopkeepers at local markets. You never know when they may help you out. Also, get away from the group and walk around by yourself, you’ll learn more about yourself that you could ever have imagined!
